Research Interest My research interest is in prediction of the track of tropical cyclones(TCs), especially in medium-range. I'm studying the factors affecting the TC tracks, and thier systematic forecast errors. With the above knoweledge and application of some statistical methods, for example, machine learning techniques, my final goal is to improve the medium-range TC track prediction by devising the algorithm modulating the forecast errors.
