Research Interest |
I have experience in researching in the field of aerosol effects, cloud/radiation process, sea ice in the Arctic region, cold surges, and air quality.
Recently my research area is mainly the prediction of air quality, focusing on the PM10 concentration under various climate conditions over east Asia.
Especially, I have worked on developing statistic-dynamic hybrid models using artificial intelligence such as neural network.
This model can predict the PM10 grade in Seoul based on the synoptic patterns of meteorological variables.
In attempt to understand the mechanism of various high-PM10 situations in Korea and increase its predictability, I work diligently and actively collaborate with many graduate students, postDoc and professors from SNU and other various institutions.
