Research Interest
His main research interest is understanding of tropical cyclone activity associated with large-scale climate variabilities and its prediction on seasonal-to-decadal time scales. He has rich experience and knowledge in development process of hybrid statistical-dynamical model of tropical cyclone activity, and hydrology disaster such as drought. Based on the knowledge in prediction, he has played a core role to carry out many national research projects. In addition, he is proficient in climate change (i.e., temperature variation) and the regional climate modeling analysis such as WRF.
